Activating a Software License on the iCON iCS

Overview

The iCON iCS requires a software license to be activated through the Device Manager on the tablet. An active internet connection is required to complete activation.

Steps to Activate

  1. Open the iCON Trades app on your tablet.
  2. Navigate to Menu > Device Manager.
  3. Select your iCS instrument from the device list.
  4. Tap Licences.
  5. Your available licenses will be displayed. Tap the license you wish to activate.
  6. Confirm activation. The instrument must be connected and the tablet must have an active internet connection for this step to complete.

Notes

  • If no licenses appear, verify that your Leica account has the license assigned. Contact your reseller or Leica support if licenses are missing from your account.
  • Licenses are tied to the instrument serial number, not the tablet. If you replace a tablet, you do not need to reactivate — just set up a new device profile and the existing license will be recognized.
  • If activation fails, check that the tablet has a working data connection and that the iCS instrument is powered on and connected.
