How to Update Firmware on the iCON iCS

Overview

Keeping your iCON iCS firmware up to date ensures the best performance and compatibility with the latest iCON Trades software. Firmware updates are performed from within the iCON Trades app.

Requirements

  • The iCS instrument must be connected to iCON Trades on the tablet.
  • The tablet must have an active data connection (Wi-Fi or cellular) to check for and download updates.

Steps

  1. Open iCON Trades and connect to your iCS instrument.
  2. Open the Device Profile for the iCS.
  3. Navigate to Info.
  4. Select Firmware.
  5. Tap Check for Updates.
  6. If an update is available, follow the on-screen prompts to download and install it.
  7. Do not disconnect the instrument or power off the tablet during the update process.

Notes

  • If Check for Updates shows no available update but you believe one should be available, verify that the tablet has an active internet connection.
  • If the firmware update fails or the instrument becomes unresponsive during the update, contact Advanced Dimensions support.
