iCON iCS Not Connecting to Leica iCON Trades
Overview
If your iCON iCS instrument is not connecting to the Leica iCON Trades app, the most common cause is a corrupted device profile. Deleting and recreating the device profile resolves this in the majority of cases.
Steps to Fix
- Open the Leica iCON Trades app on your tablet.
- Navigate to Device Manager.
- Find the existing device profile for your iCS instrument.
- Delete the current device profile.
- Add the instrument back by creating a new device profile.
- Attempt to connect again.
Additional Step: Sensor Reset
If recreating the device profile does not resolve the issue, perform a sensor reset on the instrument:
- Press and hold the power button on the iCS for 8 seconds until it resets.
- Once the instrument restarts, return to Device Manager and create a new device profile.
Still Not Connecting?
If the issue persists after both steps above, contact Advanced Dimensions support. Be ready to provide your instrument serial number and a description of any error messages displayed.
