RC10 Remote Control: Pairing and Key Functions

Overview

The RC10 Remote Control connects to the iCON iCS via Bluetooth and allows you to trigger measurements and control the instrument without returning to the tablet. This article covers pairing, key functions, and LED behavior.

Turning On and Off

  • Turn on: Press and hold the ON/OFF key for 0.5 seconds.
  • Turn off: Press and hold the ON/OFF key for 2 seconds.
  • Bluetooth is always enabled on start-up and will attempt to reconnect automatically.

Pairing / Resetting Bluetooth

If the RC10 is not connecting or you need to pair it with a different instrument:

  1. Press and hold the ON/OFF key for more than 7.5 seconds to erase all stored Bluetooth bonding data.
  2. The remote will restart and be ready to pair fresh.

Feature LEDs

Three green LEDs indicate which feature is currently active in iCON Trades (point, line, or polyline). One LED lights up per active feature.

Battery

Charging the RC10

Connect via the USB-C port. Charging time is approximately 1.5 hours. Battery life is 70+ hours of typical use.
