Exporting Project Files via USB
Overview
You can access your iCON iCS project files directly from your tablet by connecting it to a PC via USB. This is useful for backing up projects, transferring data, or accessing files when the in-app export is not working as expected.
Steps
- Connect your tablet to a PC using a USB-C cable.
- On the tablet, open Settings > Connected Devices > USB.
- Select Use USB for File Transfer.
- On your PC, open File Explorer.
- Navigate to:
This PC > [Tablet Name, e.g. CSX8] > Internal shared storage > iCON > Projects - Locate your project folder. Project folders are named after your project and contain an
.irmprj folder structure. - Copy the entire project folder to your PC.
Notes
- The tablet name shown in File Explorer may vary depending on the device model (e.g., CSX8).
- Exported CSV and DXF files created within iCON Trades are saved to the export location you selected (internal or external storage) and can also be accessed via this USB method.
