vPen Calibration File Not Loading

vPen Calibration File Not Loading

Overview

If a downloaded vPen calibration file fails to load on the tablet, the file name may not match the format the tablet expects. Renaming the file usually resolves the issue.

Steps

  1. Download the calibration file from the Leica customer portal. The file will typically be named something like vPen_[serial number].xml (e.g., vPen_4560417.xml).
  2. Before loading the file, verify the file name matches the expected naming format for your tablet. If it does not load, try renaming the file to the correct format.
  3. Transfer the renamed file to the tablet and attempt to load it again through iCON Trades.

Notes

  • Calibration file delivery issues have occurred during periods of SAP system outages on Leica's side. If you are unable to download a calibration file from the portal at all, this may indicate a temporary system issue. Contact Leica support or Advanced Dimensions for assistance.
  • If the correct calibration file name format is unclear, contact Advanced Dimensions support and provide your instrument serial number — we can confirm the expected file name.
